Monthly census
On a monthly basis, associated institutions send information on guaranteed deposits and investments to the FGC, as set out in Central Bank Circular no..º 3.915/2018. Check below the reports with information by product and totals related to financial instruments that are guaranteed by the FGC, according to regulation.
Eligible deposits covered by the FGC guarantee
Deposits eligible for the FGC guarantee are certain financial instruments issued by associates that represent their customers' deposits and investments, in products such as demand deposits (current account ) and term (CDB, RDB, savings, Bills of exchange etc.), in accordance with regulation.
When regulatory limits are considered, such as the value of up to R$ 250 thousand by CPF or CNPJ, and by financial institution or conglomerate, we have the balance of deposits covered by the FGC guarantee.
Additional information:
When an institution belongs to a financial conglomerate (a set of institutions subject to the same control), the information is forwarded by the leading institution of the conglomerate. In the report above, we inform the number of leading institutions that sent information to the FGC within the regulatory deadline and not the total number of members. The numbers presented in the tables consider the information received within the deadline and the estimated total for all those associated with the FGC. To find out more about the associated institutions, click here.
To determine the balance covered by the guarantees, associated institutions consolidate their customers' data through the CPF and CNPJ, sending the information to the FGC without customer identification. Thus, if a person has a current account or investments in more than one financial institution, it will be counted more than once.
The information presented is shown by the total value, to the set of institutions, and individually by prudential segment (classification of financial institutions carried out by the Central Bank considering the size, international activity and risk profile of the institutions).
